NEWS : NEXT EDITION SCHEDULED IN 2020!
The festival takes place in the spring, at the Opéra-Théâtre de Metz Métropole (oldest theater in France still active).
The event is sponsored by violinist Virginie Robilliard.
The instrumental ensemble in residence, the Akos Quartet is a string quartet, a flagship formation in the history of chamber music.
The ambitions of the festival develop on three main axes:
INVITE ARTISTS RENOWNED
Chamber music is back in fashion and many fabulous musicians are dedicated to it. This brings to the music-loving public a huge variety of styles and exciting visions of classical music to highlight, as well as great works from the repertoire to (re) discover.
During the first two editions, great musicians supported the creation of the Metz chamber music festival and left behind their passages, unforgettable concerts. We can cite: Virginie Robilliard, Gustav Rivinius, Mark Davies, Bruno Robilliard, Laurent Wagschal, L'Ensemble l'Acheron / François Joubert-Caillet
COLLABORATE WITH LOCAL MUSICIANS
The Grand Est region is full of excellent musicians eager to perform on stage more often and the festival aims to promote them. Professors from the Conservatory at Regional influence of Metz Métropole also intervened in various formats by playing or presenting an educational project.
SUPPORTING YOUNG TALENT
Educational projects hold an important place in the festival because they offer students the first professional experiences. Many of them are future musicians and need experience. These musicians of tomorrow have had the opportunity to perform in the first part of concerts, exchange with experienced musicians, present certain concerts or attend conferences.
